Jaclyn D’Arcy- Instructor

Miss JaclynJaclyn has danced since she was 2 years old and competed throughout the United States on a champion dance team.  She is technically trained in classical ballet and jazz technique. She has studied at The Studio, No Limits Dance and Performing Arts. She has won 1st-Overall in Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Tap, and Modern categories as a soloist, duet, and in small groups. She placed 1st-Overall as a soloist at Los Angeles Dance Force, Hall of Fame, Show Stoppers, Kids Artistic Revenue, Los Angeles Dance Magic, and Rainbow Dance Competitions.  She has won over 42 top three overall awards for her duet/trios, and over 200 1st-place overall awards in small group and large groups.  She has received 9 national dance scholarships and has trained at EDGE Performing Arts Center in Los Angeles.  Jaclyn was ranked in the top twenty dancers in America at the Starpower National Dance Competition in Las Vegas and has performed with JUMP on Broadway. After high school, Jaclyn attended Claremont McKenna College in Los Angeles, where she was the founder and CEO of the 5C Dance Company. The dance team performed at the Claremont Colleges’ basketball and football halftimes. Jaclyn hosted a biannual showcase where she invited other dance troops to perform with 5C Dance Company. She choreographed half time routines, held auditions for new company members, and organized the fall and spring showcases where she choreographed group routines and helped company members choreograph solos and duos. After she completed her Bachelors of Art in Economics, Politics, and Environment, she moved to Pennsylvania where she teaches at Dance Design and coaches the IMPACT Competition Team. She is also a member of Tabatha Robinson-Scott’s Monarch Dance Team where she performs all around the East Coast within the company and as a soloist. Jaclyn loves working with students at Dance Design and is thrilled to begin a new competition season.
